The board of NATHIST would like to thank you, the members, for everything you’ve helped us accomplish in 2017. In this time of change, with the environment, sociopolitically and within our own sector, it’s important to have the strength in numbers and in ethical ideals that give us a cohesive voice. Together, we are ensuring that the changes that face us will be as positive as possible for us, our communities and for future generations.
Next year promises to be another year filled with accomplishments, as we look forward to the activities we have planned. Ramping up the Anthropocene Working Group, more translations of the ICOM Code of Ethics for Natural History Museums, extending the reach of our Platform 2022 sustainability initiative, and our annual conference being hosted in Israel are but a few of the many things in store.
As always, we encourage your thoughts and ideas, which make our global initiative so much richer and more effective. Until we see you next, warmest wishes to you and your loved-ones for the wind-down of 2017 and for the year ahead.
Eric Dorfman, Chair ICOM NATHIST
